HOW TO DO A HALO BRAID BY DANIELLE KENNEDY OF LLOYDS HAIR

This style is perfect for festivals as it takes 2-3 minutes to do and the messier the better. With a bit of fresh pining and the right prepping, this style will last you all weekend

Wash and dry your hair to 90% dry, my ethos would be to prep the hair by dehydrating it with good quality mousse and texturizing spray and skip the hairspray, then smooth the hair with your dryer

Bend your head down and part your hair on the crown (like a mop head :)) Starting at the back take about ¼ of the hair, separate into 3 equal sections and start braiding. Alternate each section under the middle one. Keep the strands pulled taught for now as this will result in a stronger braid that won't fall out

Continue the braid along the hairline, pulling in extra sections of hair as you go and introducing all the hair along your hairline into the bottom of the braid only. When you have no loose hair remaining, loosen the braid all over using your fingers for a more relaxed, mussed-up finish

Slide in plenty of Kirby grips to secure the style and you’re good to go!
