I absolutely loved working with Irene O'Brien, the vintage stylist who organised this shoot for our vintage wedding dresses and veils to be featured on TV3 Expose. She's not only gorgeous and has a fabulous style, but she's also a very kind girl and super professional. For the shoot Irene wore a simple yet very pretty blue and cream vintage 60's dress from our stock that suited her beautifully.

Clare from 1st Option Model Management is a sensational model, she is completely statuesque, leggy, elegant, and perfectly poised, she has had to learn fast in the modelling world, as is the case for most successful young women her age, and she has learned, because working with her was a breeze. She completely understood the entire concept of the shoot, and brought and elegant contemporary look to the timeless style of vintage wedding dresses. She arrived fresh faced, enthusiastic, fully made up, and so friendly it was impossible not to instantly like her.

It was a small group of 5 on the shoot, and it was an intense and busy afternoon as we raced "against the light" to capture Clare in the stunning gowns. The team were a delight, they stood back and allowed me to style Clare as I wanted which of course was  to show off the wedding dresses to their very best advantage.

Trains, ruffs, and flowing veils dominated the theme as you would expect, but if I had a personal favourite it was the full length wedding gown, covered in cotton lace work, with a sheer neckline and sleeves, crowned with the magnificent Chapel Length Veil, that swept the ground and floated over the train of the dress like a gossamer web. This beautiful dress is for the Bride who absolutely wants to set herself apart and wishes to embrace the romanticism of the era in an ultra-feminine and original ensemble, and here at Vintage Agnes, that's what I'm all about.

Huge thanks to my good friend Partick McArdle for capturing the behind the scenes photos.
